This Ontario home needed a real barrier between the house, the patio, and the water, and got the permanent version: black powder-coated iron pool fencing with vertical pickets and a clean flat top, run along the brick patio and around the pool deck.
Iron is the pool fence that does everything at once. The vertical pickets are spaced so small children can't slip through and there's nothing horizontal to climb; the open design means whoever's on the patio can always see the water; and powder-coated metal shrugs off splash, chlorine, and full Ontario sun where wood would rot and mesh would sag.
